Daughter, I Have an Answer

“Mom, I have a question.” He says in a popcorn style, peppy, ready to find the meaning to life manner.

“Son, I have an answer.” I reply, matching his cantor. (You must hear the sing-song-rythm that takes place in this convo.)

This response is the way I have learned to combat this kids' relentless need to explore….every detail….of everything….that exists or pertains to man, the earth, the universe, God, life.

We have this conversation countless times a day. It is a fun little banter between us, when I am not exhausted from his never-ending questions of course! lol

So here’s my deep thought:

Surely God answers us in much the same way, yet without fatigue. No matter how many times I have been to God with my questions, He never tires answering them.

I can declare, “God, I have a question.”

Not out of obligation and never wearied from my exhaustive list of inquiries, I imagine He lovingly replies with a smile in His voice, “Daughter, I have an answer.”

Do you have questions for God? Ask away. He is waiting to answer.

‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3 NASB
